 | Home Delivery It isn't often that we make home deliveries for cats, but foster mom Jan Coe had such a strong feeling that Kensington, renamed Seven, was supposed to be with Guinnevere, that she drove the meowing little kitten to her new adopter. Guinnevere had a similar feeling about Seven, after the first time she saw her little golden eyes looking at her from the Petfinder page. She had a cat at home and thought that Seven would give her current cat a feline friend to play tag with. With determination that Seven would soon live at her house, she quickly submitted an on-line application. Months earlier, Seven had been abandoned at a local shelter, one of the many kittens that had been dropped off there. She was the only Tortie out of her litter and her tail had a kink, which probably happened during birth. |
The outlook didn't look great for little Seven and her mom and littermates. The shelter was overflowing with mother cats and kittens, stray cats and feral cats. Luckily, the caring staff at the shelter called different animal rescues, and No More Homeless Pets in Utah went to gather the abandoned feline family. We quickly got them fixed and into caring foster homes until loving permanent homes could be found.
It didn't take long before Seven settled into her new home with fellow feline friend Chewy.Seven will even occasionally cuddle with Wumbi, the dog but only if she thinks no one is looking, She has finally accepted that the parrot in the house is not dinner and she fetches toys with a playful glee (we're not sure if the dog or cat taught her that trick). She also stops playing long enough to get pets from Guinn. All in all, it's a great life, and hey, Seven is glad to live it!
