For homeless pets, there really is no place like home - and No More Homeless Pets in Utah helped hundreds of animals find this out at Fall Pet Super Adoption, held September 10-12!
The event opened on Friday at 2 pm, with a line of potential adopters waiting eagerly at the gate. Throughout the weekend, adopters got to know their prospective companions in two homey get-acquainted areas, with comfy furniture for both people and pets to lounge on. There was an amazing array of dogs and cats, including many purebred dogs of all sizes, and exotic cats like British shorthairs, as well as a collection of loveable mixed breeds. Emcee Craig Wirth spotlighted individual animals so attendees would know their stories, and many of the animals he introduced to the crowd were adopted.
When the event closed Sunday at 4 pm, 117 cats and 238 dogs had found new homes! And, once again, we managed to find foster homes for all of the animals at Super Adoption who were at risk of euthanasia if they went back to the shelter that they came from. A big thank you to all of the adopters and fosters!
Rescue groups and shelters from across Utah participated in the event, bringing with them over 800 dogs and cats available for adoption. Adoption feed ranged from $50 to $75 for cats and $95 to $150 for dogs, including spay/neuter surgery and updated vaccinations.
