No More Homeless Pets

NMHPU and BFAS

I have some exciting news to share with you today: No More Homeless Pets in Utah and Best Friends Animal Society are coming together as one organization committed to making No More Homeless Pets a reality in our lifetime -- both here in Utah and across the nation! Together, we'll be better, stronger, and able to focus our combined efforts on saving even more lives.

Thanks to your support, we've reduced euthanasia of animals in Utah shelters by 50 percent! That means thousands of wonderful shelter cats and dogs, like Fonzie, pictured to the left with his best friend, Sophie, are enjoying life as cherished family members.

Our state is playing a major part in leading the way to No More Homeless Pets nationwide. Over the past ten years, NMHPU has saved over 100,000 lives through innovative, model programs. For example, Super Adoptions, created and proven succesful here, were also held in California and New York this year, finding homes for hundreds more cats and dogs. Another special event "born" in Utah, Strut Your Mutt, helped raise awareness and funds for homeless animals from coast to coast. And statewide spay/neuter and trap/neuter/return (TNR) programs, saving lives in communities throughout Utah, are being replicated all over the country.

Thank you for making all these good things possible. Because of you, lives are being saved every day, here in Utah and beyond. The life saving programs of No More Homeless Pets in Utah will continue, and we will of course keep you informed of our progress. All of us at No More Homeless Pets in Utah and Best Friends Animal Society, together with the animals, are truly grateful to have a friend like you.

And now, as one combined organization, we look forward to sharing this ongoing journey towards a time of No More Homeless Pets with you. We couldn't do it without you!

Best wishes,
