National Feral Cat Day

National Feral Cat Day 2009 was a huge success! October 16th is annually dedicated to spreading awareness about feral cats all over the country and educating the public about important programs like Trap-Neuter-Return.
This year's festivities were hosted by Salt Lake County Animal Services. NMHPU's Feral Fix Director Daye Abbott was on hand to offer feral caregivers valuable information on how to better care for their feral cats.  In preparation for the upcoming cold weather, winter homes were available for caregivers.  NMHPU’s Executive Director Holly Sizemore donned a cat suit to draw attention to National Feral Cat Day, standing alongside our enormous feral cat trap and waving to passing cars.
All of our “Crazy Cat Lady” Club photos were there on display.  Congratulations to winner Pat DeWald, the winner of our fabulous “Crazy Cat Lady” prize package!

Feral cats need support from caring people like you who are willing to make sure they are safe, healthy and taken care of.  Thank you for joining us on National Feral Cat Day!
